Uninsured motorist, or UM coverage, is the most important coverage a driver could have in Florida. This is because most drivers in Florida do not carry what’s called bodily injury coverage. If you’re in an accident and the person at fault does not have insurance and you have uninsured motorist coverage your insurance will step into the shoes of the person at fault, covering you and your loved ones who are in the vehicle for their injuries and damages.
