Michael Pike Named a 2015 “Super Lawyer”

Pike’s Career
Pike’s career as an attorney began in 2002 when he graduated with his law degree from the University of Florida. He spent time working at a variety of prestigious Florida law firms, making his way up to partner, before setting out on his own to found Pike & Lustig, LLP. Additionally, he has worked for the State’s Attorney’s Office and as a clerk for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. At his own firm, Pike leverages this broad legal experience to find solutions to his clients’ unique problems.
Pike has experience working with a wide variety of legal issues, working to secure verdicts for his clients in many different areas. He works in both state and federal courts, dealing with diverse issues ranging from personal injury cases to complex business litigation. Mr. Pike also makes sure to involve himself in the community, being active in both legal and charitable organizations. He has published multiple legal articles on topics such as securities law and the evaluation of expert witnesses. He also does work charitable organizations such as SOS Children’s Villages of Florida.
What Makes a Super Lawyer
The Super Lawyer ranking represents the output of a rigorous, patented evaluation designed to determine the top 5 percent of attorneys in a state. It begins with a nomination process, where the committee receives nominations of outstanding lawyers practicing in a jurisdiction. Each lawyer must usually be nominated by another member of the legal community outside of their own firm. Once the nominations are finished. The committee begins researching the attorneys based on the 12 categories that the Super Lawyer ranking is judged on: verdicts and settlements, representative clients, transactions, experience, honors and awards, position within their firm, special certifications and licenses, scholarly work, work within the professional community, pro bono work, educational and employment background, and any other outstanding achievements that the candidates may have. The candidates are then put through several rounds of selection based on committees of their peers, which eventually make the final selections for Super Lawyer each year.
